Medical Marijuana Inc. and Dixie Botanicals CBD Review
My next review is here and I am reviewing products from Medical Marijuana Inc. The products I tried are CBD vape cartridge by Dixie Botanicals and the Hemp Salvation Balm, as well as two CBD oils from Real Scientific Hemp. In this review, I’ve got five products to review, so it’s a bit longer of a review than my typical reviews, but bear with me, these are products worth reading about.
First a bit more about this company:
- They work with and/or carry several reputable brands such as Kannaway, Hemp Meds and more.
- They are the first CBD company to provide prescription CBD to those suffering from epilepsy, migraines, Parkinson’s disease and other conditions.
- They have an extensive file on their website with CBD education ranging in the basics about CBD to CBD for children and pets.
- They also carry a non-cannabis derived CBD for those who do not wish to use any cannabis or hemp products at all, one of which I will be reviewing.
- Products are third party tested.
- Non-GMO products
- Full spectrum products
The products I have to review are:
- REAL SCIENTIFIC HEMP OIL™ SPECIAL BLEND 10G CBD HEMP OIL (3800MG CBD)
- Real Scientific Gold Label Hemp Oil 1000mg (with MCT oil)
- REAL SCIENTIFIC HEMP OIL™ RSHO-K™ – HUMULUS CBD LIQUID – 4 OZ. (1000MG CBD) (with MCT oil)
- Dixie Botanicals CBD Vape Cartridge 250mg
- Dixie Botanicals Hemp Salvation Balm
The first products I want to review are from Real Scientific Hemp Oil. I’ll start with the pure hemp oil special blend. It’s a 3800mg CBD and it comes in a syringe. It’s extremely thick, almost a paste consistency, but the syringe makes it easy to use and get the right amount. It’s recommended to start out with .5g for a dosage and the syringe is labeled so you get the get the right amount. Now, let me say first of all, this stuff is pricey. The one I was able to use prices out at $284. They have them on sale and do have a 3g one for around $51, but that’s only about 6 servings. The one I used was 20 servings, but honestly, you get what you pay for when it comes to CBD. This stuff works. It’s extremely effective. I really had great results with this and would absolutely buy it again if could easily afford it.
The flavor is very herbaceous. This might not appeal to some people, but keeping in mind how well this worked, I would be able to tolerate it. The texture is thick, really thick, almost like a thick paste, but that made it very easy to get the right amount out of the syringe. I just simply put it on my finger and took it that way, but you can put it onto a spoon if you don’t want to use your finger. You are getting 190 mg in each dose, which is a nice amount for one dose of this product and the company offers a 15% discount with auto ship, so that saves a bit of money.
All in all, this particular product is pretty fantastic. It’s effective and I felt a huge improvement on anxiety and pain. I took this every day for the 20 days I used it and I’ll be honest, I was sad when I was done with it knowing I couldn’t afford to buy it again, but if you can afford it, get it. Seriously, it’s quite impressive. I did not expect it to work as well as it did.
Now, don’t fret, the next products are a bit more affordable and also very effective. The first was the gold label hemp at 1000mg per bottle and the humulus CBD liquid. I want to mention these together for a specific reason. You wouldn’t need to use them both. The gold label is derived from hemp, but the humulus is a CBD blend that is derived from a hops plant and therefore it’s not hemp derived at all. It has just as much effectiveness as the other, in my opinion, but it’s best for people who don’t want to use a hemp derived product at all. It has no THC either. Now, in my opinion they affected me exactly the same, which is good. I got great results from the gold label. It was effective on both anxiety and pain and also helped me relax at night, so I got better sleep, which I don’t always get with some CBD products. Both products were effective for these aspects.
They don’t taste like anything either, which I prefer as I mentioned in my last review of Leafy Drops. I don’t want a sweetened, sugary oil or a super herbaceous oil either. I don’t mind them, I’ll take them, I just don’t prefer them, so I was happy about this.
The gold label 1000mg runs about $97 for a 32 serving bottle, making it a bit more affordable than the first product and the humulus oil runs about $141 for a 30 serving bottle, a bit pricey, but for those who want to stay away from hemp derived products and still get an effective product, I would say it’s worth it.
I’ll do a rundown of cost at the end, but these three CBD oils are definitely pricey, but again, keep in mind that you could waste money on products that cheap and don’t work or just pay the money and get the relief you are looking for and these products do what they claim to.
Next is Dixie Botanicals topical and vape cartridge. I enjoy vaping CBD, I get a lot of relief from vaping and I feel it’s really convenient to get CBD when I am on the go or just want to use CBD all day long, so I was really excited about this. Each cartridge is 250mg of CBD and claims to be citrus pine flavor from the terpenes, but honestly, I didn’t taste any specific flavor. It tasted herbaceous to me, like marijuana. That’s the easiest way to describe the actual flavor. I don’t mind this flavor, but as with most pure hemp oil vapes, the inhale of this is very harsh. This is the same experience I had with another I reviewed, Vape Bright, but honestly, these work. This Dixie Botanicals cartridge is really effective, but I personally couldn’t finish the cartridge. I used it as much as I could and got great results, but the harshness of the inhale was too much for me to use continuously. I would use it occasionally to get the relief, but I couldn’t use this product daily. The cartridge fits a standard 510 thread battery so if you already use cartridges and have a battery, then this should fit it if you have a standard battery. They also sell these in packs, making them a bit more affordable as one cartridge runs about $41. Now, I typically use CBD vape that I can refill in a standard vape pen, so I don’t even use cartridges daily, making these types more affordable for me, but again, the inhale turned me off. All in all, this cartridge works for effectiveness alone. Less anxiety, a lot more relaxed.
The last product is the Dixie Botanicals Hemp Salvation balm. I love topicals. I get a lot of relief out of topical products because of my chronic pain and it helps relieve my muscle tension a lot, which is necessary for me, otherwise I’d be in bed most days, so I was pretty happy about this. It’s really effective. It has essential oil like lavender and cedarwood which are perfect for relaxation and it also has camphor for muscle tension. It doesn’t have a strong smell, I enjoyed the scent and it didn’t linger, which is nice too, so I wasn’t worried about a strong smell lingering all day long. It’s not greasy either. It’s a thick balm, using beeswax and natural oils, but it didn’t feel oily on my skin and it didn’t stain my clothing either so that made it easy to apply and get dressed and go, not worrying about blotting it off my skin.
This is a 1.3oz tub for $39, which I personally think is affordable. The ingredients alone are fantastic for effectiveness and I would absolutely buy this again.
This company has just about everything CBD related including vaporizers, CBD for pets, hair care, facial care and bundles to save you money. They have hemp clothing and a sale section which is nice as well. They have edibles and capsules as well, so it’s a great company for finding the right method for you and with a large price range between products, it’s easy to find something you can afford.
All in all, I give these products and the company a four-leaf score.
Pros on all products:
All very effective for anxiety, pain relief and general relaxation.
All very easy to take and figure out a dosage.
Flavor was fine, nothing turned me off.
Bundles and auto subscribe make it easy to save a bit of cash.
Third party testing.
They provide products that are non-GMO and full spectrum.
Cons on all products:
Prices depending on products vary, but the most effective products were the highest cost.\
- Real Scientific Hemp Oil Gold Label Hemp Oil 1000mg-$97.30 for a 4oz bottle with 32 servings.
- Real Scientific Hemp Oil Special Blend CBD Oil 3800mg-$284.25 for a 20g syringe with 20 servings at 10mg each.
- Real Scientific Hemp Oil Humulus CBD Oil 1000mg-$141.09 for a 4oz bottle with 30 servings.
- Dixie Botanicals Vape Cartridge 250mg-$41.30
- Dixie Botanicals Hemp Salvation Balm 1.3oz 50mg CBD-$39
All of these, except for the humulus, are on sale with them right now.
The website is full of great info including how they started and the companies they work exclusively with to create effective products. All in all, I would buy from them again. I trust that they have quality, effective CBD products and are reputable through research and provide an extensive list of conditions where they have done research on the effectiveness of CBD for relief. Take some time to look through their site and articles, they have a lot of educational pieces on CBD from the basics to treating major illness and conditions with it, so it’s worth taking some time and reading through those.
Stay tuned for more reviews. I have some reviews in the works for Mary’s Medicinial’s, CBD Living Water and more!
