Hempbombs CBD Oil and Gummies Review

Hempbombs is a CBD company that has a wide variety of products such as vape, oils, edibles, pets and more.

The products I tried are the Hempbombs Oil 300 MG and the CBD Gummies.

I hadn’t tried gummies prior to this and was pretty excited to be able to try these. I’ve heard great things about edibles concerning effectiveness and really wanted to see what all the hype was about.

The gummies I tried was the 5 count pack. They cost $14.99 and while that may be a bit pricey for 5 gummies, I have to admit that they work quite well. Better than some tinctures I’ve tried actually. They do offer these in larger amounts such as 15 gummies, but as you go up in the amount of gummies you get, the price goes up as well.

Edibles tend to take a little longer to work in the body, but the nice thing about products such as gummies is that you can take them along with you anywhere and eat them when you are feeling you may need relief without anyone knowing what you are doing exactly. The reason I say this is that CBD honestly still has a stigma and if you are concerned about vaping your CBD or taking it as a tincture, this may be a good option for you. Hempbombs dummies are quite good too! They taste like a candy gummy, same texture and have CBD. Gummies take about 1-2 hours to take effect as they do have to travel though the system through digestion into the blood, but if you are looking for your routine CBD during the day or even before bed, these are a good option.

The Hempbombs CBD 5 count have 15 MG of CBD per gummy and the recommended dosage is 1-2 gummies daily. They are made with traditional gummy ingredients and CBD. Sugar, Corn Syrup, Gelatin, Citric Acid,
Calcium Lactate, Silicon Dioxide, Natural & Artificial Flavors (Note: With any product containing gelatin, this is not a vegan or vegetarian friendly ingredient.)

The CBD oil is the tincture which is used orally, under the tongue as many tinctures I have reviewed are. Hempbombs have both peppermint and watermelon flavors and I tried the watermelon. The bottle I got was 300 MG and that provides 5 MG per serving. Each serving is 1/2 dropper or 1/2 ml.

The flavor wasn’t what I expected. The scene to the oil is amazing, much like a watermelon hard candy, but to be honest, it didn’t really taste much like watermelon, but it also didn’t bad. It just didn’t taste much like anything in may opinion. There was a slightly sweet taste and it was easy to swallow as is, so that’s a pro for sure. I have used tinctures before where I couldn’t swallow them without using a water chaser, so this was nice just in case I need my tincture and didn’t have water with me. The other thing I love is what is in this tincture. Hemp Oil, Grape Seed Oil, MCT Oil, Pure CBD

As far as effectiveness, I didn’t feel this particular tincture preformed as well as others. It worked well enough, but I found myself taking more than I normally would to get the effects I need for pain and anxiety. I would recommend it for someone who is looking for an easy to take tincture and has never used tinctures before, so this may be a good starting off product for a new user. Now keep in mind, I used the 300 MG  and I am used to using a product in a higher MG range so this may be a factor.

No additives are a great thing in CBD and if you find a CBD that has a ton of ingredients in it, it may be a good idea to move on to another product. A good quality oil should have few ingredients and if there are more, make sure they are natural ingredients such as flavors or food ingredients that are beneficial to health.

A 30 ML bottle of the 300 MG is going to cost you $49.99 which isn’t too bad considering some others I have found that can run into the $200 range, so I think this is relatively affordable.

The best thing about Hempbombs- no THC in ANY of their products, so according to them, no worries about drug testing.

As far as their company, they do offer discount programs for senior citizens and military and  Hempbombs also runs giveaways weekly so be sure to check out their site and sign up if you wanna maybe win and try some products prior to buying and even if you don’t win, they send out a coupon code to all who entered so ether way, you save some money.

The company also has 3rd party testing, no THC in their products, and their products are made in the USA.

Let’s get on with the pros and cons: Overall this company and products get a 4 leaf rating for the following reasons.

Gummies:

Pros:

  • Taste- taste like a regular gummy bear.
  • Effectiveness- works fast enough for your regular CBD routine.
  • Convenient-take them anywhere and eat them anytime.
  • No THC.

Cons:

  • Price- a 5 count will cost you about 14.99, but if you use these as an occasional CBD treat, then it might be beneficial for you, but for someone who wants to only use a gummy product or maybe even buy them more often, this may not work out for you financially.
  • Effectiveness- yes I know I put this as a pro, but bear with me. If you are someone who needs a fast working CBD for anxiety or pain, this may not your best option. As said above, these are great as a CBD supplement to take in between vaporizing or tincture or to take to work or school where you may not be able to take your CBD “out in the open”.

Tincture/Oil:

Pro:

  • Taste- This product doesn’t taste bad, but doesn’t taste like watermelon in my opinion, so this belongs on both lists depending on what you are looking for. This will fall under a personal preference.
  • Method of Use- Easy to take orally, with or without a water chaser with no oily feeling in the mouth after.
  • Price- Affordable considering other companies products you may find in your research.
  • Effectiveness- The 300 MG is good for someone new to CBD tinctures.
  • No THC.

Cons:

  • Effectiveness- not quite as good as other products from different companies I have used, but again, this may be due to the fact I am used to higher MG content, keep this in mind.
  • Flavor-While it didn’t taste bad, I did expect a sweeter, watermelon flavor and this didn’t quite come through as expected and this is something I personally look for in products I am taking orally.

A con about them that I didn’t mention above is about the companies affiliate program.  I was hesitant at first to mention this, but feel it’s important to mention because I do take the company and their affiliate programs into consideration prior to promoting them. I haven’t mentioned programs like this in pro’s or con’s before because honestly, I have never had a issue joining one. While this seem a bit petty to some, it’s also honest and I will not lie or sugar coat on products and companies I review, especially on health products. I do feel if a blog, such as mine, is going to write a good review on a product, they should allow that blog to become an affiliate due to the fact that we are promoting a product for the company. While I did receive this product from the company, I was hoping after using it and liking it, I could sign up to work with the company,  so that I could promote the product, but I was told that my blog had too many affiliate links and they decided to pass.

I understand that each business has their own policies, but my blog is mainly CBD product reviews and educational articles so naturally, I have a lot of affiliate links and I only promote products I use, have used and have liked. I really think being able to work with a company through affiliate linking is a great way to to not only keep my blog running, but also happily promoting a great product, so this was pretty disappointing. Running any type of blog, contrary to popular belief, is not a high paying job. While I do receive products occasionally from companies for review, many products that I promote on this blog and my natural health blog, I buy out of my own pocket and that can become expensive. In conclusion, I will not ever promote a product I dont believe in or a company I dont believe in. I thought that this was important to mention because some of you may be blog writers and wish to promote companies, so be sure to look into their affiliate companies as well, especially if you are buying the product yourself.
