CBD FX Tincture Review: CBD Series

Original Post: March 25, 2018

Continuing the CBD Series Blog Posts of CBD oil reviews, I am done with the CBD fx 500 series product courtesy of cbdvapejuice.net

If you haven’t read the series yet, take a look here to catch up and see all the products I’ve reviewed so far such as Hempconnex and Koi Naturals.

This particular product is a CBD tincture by CBD genesis and provides 500mg of CBD in each 30 ml bottle and 17 mg per dropper (1ml).

This tincture is in a MCT oil base, taken from coconuts. Now if you aren’t familiar with MCT oils, you’ve probably heard of them while researching CBD oils. MCT stands for Medium Chain Triglycerides and they are naturally occurring fats found in coconut and palm oils. The reason MCT is used in a lot of products is because it’s a fat that easily digested by the body. The health benefits of MCT can be improved cognitive function and the ability to lose weight a bit easier too. It also provides Omega fatty acids of 3-6-9. MCT is found in some liquid coconut oils as well as health products like supplements and oils.

Okay, let’s get down to the review!

So, I started this CBD oil a little over a month ago. My first impression was on taste.

I honestly didn’t care for the taste. Now, it’s important to know that a lot of cbd tinctures are going to taste earthy, herbaceous. If you have ever ingested cannabis, you’ll recognize the flavor. It has a light, but slightly bitter flavor. The MCT oil made it a bit more palatable, but I did feel like the MCT coated my mouth a bit, I expected this though.

The way to take this, and most cbd tinctures, is to take the recommended dosage orally by dropping it under the tongue and holding it there for about 60-90 seconds.

So why is sublingual (under the tongue) the way to go on this?  Well, it’s the same basic reason for your doctor giving you a sublingual medication or even taking a powdered aspirin. The tongue and cheeks have many capillaries allowing the medication to be absorbed directly into the bloodstream without the body having to digest it. This way the mediation is made to take effect more rapidly.

Now holding it under the tongue was fine, but swallowing wasn’t as easy. Swallowing alone, without a chaser, was a bit hard to do because of the aftertaste. I, personally, don’t care for the flavor, some people love it, so how you use your CBD is going to be a personal preference.

I did find that chasing it with water or even a flavored water helped quite a bit. I didn’t taste it on my tongue after that and it was much easier to take. Another nice thing about this is that you can add to your food or beverages and still get the benefits, making it super easy to ingest.

The effects of this were quite good. I felt less pain and anxiety and it helped with my neuropathy too. I ended up increasing my dosage towards the last 2 weeks of using because I felt I needed an extra punch and it helped a lot.

I don’t have much negative to say about this to be honest. I wanted to give a lot more details, but honestly, it’s a great product. The only thing that might deter some people is price. The 500 series product is around $69.99. I know it seems really high, but honestly, if I find a product that decreases my chronic pain and anxiety and is natural, I would consider trying it out, wouldn’t you? Relief is priceless.

Another thing to look for, which CBDvapejuice.net provides is lab testing. If a company doesn’t have this available on their website or at request, it’s probably best to look elsewhere.

I am so happy to have this opportunity to share these reviews with you and I have more coming, we aren’t done yet!

Take a look at CBDVapejuice.net as well. They have the largest variety of CBD products I’ve seen so far and everything from vape juice, to pet products to tinctures and more. It’s nice to have a one-stop shop for your CBD needs.

Stay tuned for my next review, I have several more products and one that I am really excited about!
