Medterra CBD Review: Capsules, Cream and Tincture

By now, you’re probably aware of all the various CBD products out there. I love to find new and unique products containing CBD that are effective and natural and I feel I have found this with Medterra CBD. CBD is amazing, but I know not one method fits every individual, so that’s why I think it’s great that Medterra has a wide range of CBD products in different forms and I had a chance to try four of them that I feel are pretty awesome.

Quick Company Facts:

  • Based in Kentucky
  • Third party tested
  • Hemp Pilot Program
  • 0% THC
  • MCT/CBD Tinctures
  • 100% Natural
  • NON-GMO
  • Rewards Program

First, their tincture. The tincture I tried is their 3000mg oral tincture. It contains just CBD and MCT oil with no THC. I got great results from this tincture. It’s easy to take and is unflavored. I found it really effective on my pain and anxiety. I felt less anxious than I normally do after taking this. I used the recommended dose of 1ml for about a week and felt I needed to increase my dose just a bit, so I started taking 1.5ml and found my sweet spot. I took it at night, before bed and felt my night time anxiety lessen after taking this, making it much easier to relax. The tinctures they offer come in 500mg, 1000mg and 3000mg ranging from $44.99 to $149.99.

Another product I used is their Good Morning CBD Capsules. These capsules contain CBD, Caffeine, B6, and B12 with 25mg CBD, L-Tyrosine, and L-Theanine. The caffeine amount in this is about 50mg, less than a cup of coffee and I didn’t feel jittery or shaky, but keep in mind, I drink coffee daily, so for someone who doesn’t consume caffeine, this may affect you differently until you are used to it.

The vitamins B6 and B12 are known to help with energy metabolism and brain health, helping with focus and concentration as well. L-Tyrosine is helpful is feeling alert and focused and L-Theanine is good for increasing focus and also has been known to help with anxiety and nervousness.

I was a bit skeptical at just how well this would work, but I was pleasantly surprised. I felt a gentle energy boost without any crash later in the day. I didn’t feel jittery or cloudy mentally either. This worked well for me, especially since I have a hard time getting going in the morning due to my sleep issues and chronic pain that sometimes keep me awake at night. I’ve never been a morning person and it’s definitely difficult for me to feel human until around lunchtime. I felt this product exceeded my expectations.

When I took this in the morning and the CBD tincture at night, I really feel like I got great benefits of CBD in different forms. Plus, the capsules were really easy to take. They are a bit bigger than a typical capsule you might find in a vitamin. If you have trouble taking capsules, you might struggle with this, but they are super effective, so I would give it a shot. I love this product so much. I am really psyched about this because I feel it’s effective and gives me a boost I need without feeling any negative side effects that a lot of caffeine might give me. Would definitely buy again. This product comes in 25mg and costs $69.99 for a 30 day supply.

I also got to try the CBD Melatonin tablets. I have sleep troubles and it’s been a lifetime struggle. I feel like I have tried pretty much everything out there and while CBD does help, I didn’t feel like it was giving me the punch I needed to get to sleep due to my other issues like anxiety and pain. I was excited to see that Medterra has a CBD and Melatonin combined product. It has 25mg CBD and 10mg Melatonin. Melatonin is a hormone naturally produced by the body and for some people, this hormone doesn’t produce enough melatonin to help us sleep in our natural cycle and that’s why melatonin supplements sometimes help with this. It’s also been known to help with jet lag and frequent insomnia. I had taken melatonin in the past and got some relief, but this was before I discovered CBD. I felt that even though melatonin helps my sleep, I was still feeling the anxiety that usually kept me up at night.

Now, I do take an anti-anxiety medication given to me by a doctor, so keep in mind, I am not stating that CBD is the only thing I use for my anxiety, but I do feel it helps take the edge off the nighttime anxiety I get before bed that my prescription doesn’t totally treat. I choose not to take “as needed” anxiety medications because some can be habit forming and I am in recovery, so it’s important for me personally to find something that isn’t addictive and doesn’t make me feel loopy. That’s why I choose CBD as a supplement.

Since taking this product, I was able to get to sleep and stay asleep, which is my biggest issue. I felt the CBD, as usual, helps with the anxiety and the melatonin was the key to helping me fall asleep. The tablet is a dissolvable tablet that you place under the tongue and let dissolve. It’s mint flavored and didn’t taste medicinal at all. It did leave a bit of a aftertaste, so I would suggest taking it before you brush your teeth and settle in for the night. The thing with melatonin, I have found, is that I need to take it and lay down to go to bed. If you are still up and watching tv or on a computer, it’s easy to keep your mind alert to the point that you may not even feel the effects, so with something like melatonin, take it, brush your teeth and go to bed. Before I knew it, I was asleep and it was morning. Fantastic results for someone with constant insomnia. I would absolutely buy this again and again. This product has 25mg CBD, costing $69.99 for a 30 day supply.

The last product is one that I just love! The rapid cooling cream with CBD is fantastic. I used this on my back and shoulders and I could almost instantly feel the cooling effects. I felt it calmed my neck tension and helped my shoulders relax from being on the computer all day writing and that’s a huge help for me, especially since I get headaches from major neck tension. It doesn’t have an unpleasant smell and it goes on smooth. It’s a thinner cream, much like a lotion consistency. It’s not greasy or colored either. I put it on and rubbed it in and then got dressed and saw no transfer to my clothing. This is a product I would continue to buy and use in the future. This product comes in 250mg for $49.95and 750mg for $89.95

All these products were super impressive. I chatted with customer service and they are awesome as well, really knowledgeable and helpful. Honestly, there’s not much negative I could say about the Medterra products that I tried.

They have pet products and a wellness product for women as well for around that time of the month, very excited to try those sometime in the future.

I give these products a 5 leaf score!

Pros:

  • Tinctures and capsules are easy take
  • Effective CBD and ingredients
  • 100% natural, NON-GMO
  • No THC
  • Lab tested and reports available on the website
  • Great customer service
  • Rewards program based on points. You can earn points and get dollar amounts off as you buy their products.

Cons:

  • The Good Morning Capsules might be hard for some to take due to size but they do have a return policy if you aren’t satisfied, so it’s worth giving it a try.
  • The aftertaste of the CBD Melatonin might not appeal to some, but like I mentioned, taking this before your nightly brushing would solve this problem, so it’s not too much of a con in my opinion and definitely worth a try.
  • Prices: While price shouldn’t be the only thing steering you away from CBD, it may be hard to afford a lot of their products at once. They have created bundles of different products though making it a bit easier to afford and remember, they have a rewards program that helps you save money on future purchases as you earn points.

Check out www.medterracbd.com to find out more and check out their social media channels as well. They also have a chat feature if you have questions and I encourage you to read up about the products on their website and their news feature in their website menu to learn more about the company and the products. Another great company making great CBD products!
